Prairie Dogs

Prairie dogs bark.
Prairie dogs dig.
Prairie dogs play.
And prairie dogs pose for photographs, apparently.

Geysers and Hot Springs

In Yellowstone, there are a lot of geysers. You can smell them even when just driving by, which is a downside. The upside, though, is they are amazingly beautiful. Their colors are unbelievably vibrant and vary from light blue to orange.
And sure, I must admit, after seeing about 100, I thought I was done with them; looking back though, I can honestly say that I truly appreciate them. Bad smell and all.

Trees, trees, trees!

They're beautiful. Let's try to keep them alive. ;) In Yellowstone, they have had a lot of forest fires and there are a lot of dead trees that are very photogenic, but at the same time very sad.

Modeling 101

...And now bring the foot gracefully back, extend the wings, keep your face poised, and hold the pose.

Be yellow. Be bright. And try out your best pout.

Pretty In Pink

There is a tree in my backyard that is covered with these amazing flowers. I mean there are hundreds and hundreds of these tiny pink petals. I have only taken a few quick shots so far, though I do plan to do a full on photoshoot.

I strongly believe in the power of pink and there you have it: the absolute proof. Oh, I'm not saying the flower would not look good if it was yellow or white, but the pink just has a mesmerizing quality.

The Perks of Being a Flower

If you're a flower, you get all the perks - perfect complexion, beauty, and charm. Amazing colors - always the perfect outfit. Endless compliments and paparazzi swarming around. Plus all the bees are mightily attracted to you. ;)

Ah, the Moon

The moon is Earth's only natural satellite. It is there, going around and around. It is amazing to look at, especially in detail (and without a telescope!).
There will be a Lunar eclipse this Wed. from 6pm-9pm. Also an interesting sight, though I don't know if I'll get any good photographs.

My physics teacher has told me...

The most accurate protractor can measure an angle as a width of a hair miles away. Well here's the opposite: the width of a hair at a macro distance. ;)

This post is dedicated to... My finals

They took over my life. That's all I thought and talked about, that's all I did. And now they are over, and I did well, so I thought I should dedicate something to them.

Crystal

This is a real close-up and personal shot of my dog Crystal. I could not possibly have a blog and not show off her adorable little face, so enjoy!

The focus

This is one of my more unique images, in that it has a more artistic viewpoint to it. Interpret it as you wish. :)

Simply beautiful

I snapped a shot of this flower in between photographing animals at the zoo. It ended up being one of my favorite pictures I took that day though.
